We offer our math classes at one designated time. This allows students to be placed in the mathematics course that fits their skill level. Our curriculum encourages a playful love of numbers that helps the students gain a rich understanding of the how and why of mathematical concepts
Rooted in classic literature and poetry, our language arts curriculum is designed to help students love and understand stories that are good, true, and beautiful. We use the phonics-based Spalding Method for teaching reading, spelling, and penmanship. Each day, students read individually with their teacher to improve their reading ability, and are read aloud to from classic children’s literature.
Influenced by Charlotte Mason’s teachings, our writing program includes:
In all of this work, we emphasize the importance of beautiful penmanship.
Our hands-on science invites students to explore God's world. Important scientific skills in observation, classification, and experimentation are developed along the way. Our science is designed to inspire a sense of wonder and delight in each student’s heart.
As we read through The Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer, students learn about Western Civilization from the earliest nomads to the disciples of Jesus. Told in narrative form, this history helps students understand the story God has been telling since the very beginning of time.
The arts aren't just electives, they are imperative to a good education. We intertwine visual arts and music into our program on a daily basis.
